For those of you who either don't have access to the internet, or don't wish
to pay for viewing the census online, (but do still wish to look at original
census records), don't forget that you can always buy them on CD. The bonus with
this is that you've then got them for whenever you need to look something else
up in the future.
Now available for you to own on CD is the Norfolk 1901 Census, which comes as
a set of 7 disks. These contain high quality images of the census books
digitised from the microfilm. Please note: Censuses are organised by
Registration Districts, which DO NOT necessarily correspond with county
boundaries. A set of census records may omit some places within a county, and/or
include places from adjacent counties.
Llink to street indexes to browse the areas and streets where your ancestors possibly lived. The CD set
covers the whole of Norfolk as it was in the 1901 Census. Features of the CD set
are: the ability to magnify an area to see further detail, and print the current
page. There is also a place name index included, to help you find which CD you
should be looking at.
