Newington Cemetery in Edinburgh, Scotland, was opened in 1846, and unfortauntely like other privately owned cemeteries in Edinburgh, was allowed to fall into disrepair until the city council was forced to step in and place a compulsory purchase order on it.
This CD-ROM compiled by members of the Scottish Genealogy Society includes photographs and lair [burial plot] plans as well as translations of the Jewish inscriptions. This is a complete recording of all visible stones.
