Gazettes are a unique, useful and extremely fascinating resource for local,
family and social historians as well as researchers in other fields. They were
published by the government as a means of communication to officials and the
general public and therefore contain information that is of great use in
establishing an image of New Zealand and its people in the past.

has been removed from the list of Officiating Ministers, under
" The Marriage Act, 1880," belonging to the Church of the
Province of New Zealand, commonly called the Church of
England, at the request of the Most Reverend the Primate.
