1. A Sketch of the Munro Clan, Also of William Munro who, deported from Scotland, settled in Lexington, Massachusetts, and of some of his progeny, by James Phinney Munro, 1900.
2. Alexander Ross contributed three articles to The Celtic Magazine, a rare 19th-century journal. He wrote extensively on the history and genealogy of the families of Munro of Milntown, Munro of Pittonachy, and Munro of Culcairn.
