The Motor Road Guide to Southern New South Wales was designed for use by motorists during a trip. The 230 maps show distances, turn-offs, railway and water crossings as well as points of interest for each route. The main roads beyond the Victorian border to Melbourne are also included.

... Many miles of road between Sydney and Goulburn have been reconstructed. From Goulburn the road enters open country, though occasionally there are heavy grades. (On crossing into Victoria at Albury, the motorist should report to the nearest police station, and, exhibiting his license and registration certificate, furnish certain particulars, in return for which he is given a visitor's permit without payment). Condition: The book is the complete original, with the fold-out map, and original covers. The tape spine however is not the orignal. The front and back covers do show some signs of wear with scuffing on the corners. There is a dealer's pencil mark on the inside cover, a signature of a previous owner in ink dated 1939, and some age spots throughout. The maps themselves are very clear.
