Prior to 1857 major civil and criminal matters in the Moreton Bay region of NSW were dealt with by the NSW Courts. The records indexes include those of the Supreme Court, Brisbane. The records indexed include bankruptcy/insolvency, civil proceedings, criminal proceedings, naturalisations and probates. They are all held at the Qld State Archives. This publication lists the name, for of address (title), occupation, Nationality, age (where known), notes on the involvement of the person, code and reference to the relevant record. The records may contain other information such as place and family information.
