If you're looking for family in England, and you are researching earlier 1837,
parish records are one of the 'core' records to be consulting, but accessibility
hasn't always been the easiest. Finally we are now seeing some of these parish
records scanned and made accessible on CD.
The parish registers for St Mary-le-Bone are covered on this CD. You will find a the
marriages and banns for the period 1796-1801.
Note: When you get back beyond 1752 in England, remember that dates on
records and documents will be in the Julian calendar, not the current Gregorian.
Officially the Gregorian calendar was introduced in October 1582, but the
changeover was slow, and England did not adopt this calendar until September
1752.
The CD contains digitally enhanced images of the whole of the original book,
which is fully searchable, bookmarked, and is printable.
