Compiled by S&N Genealogy, this is a collection of approx. 20 million names. You can search the 'Master Name Index', and find out which of their products your ancestor/s is on.
Set up in a database format, the categories that can be searched on are Surname; Forename; Year of Birth; +/- years (up to 50). Two search fields need to entered to conduct a search. The information given once a search has been done is: Surname; Forename; Year/Age; Product.
An incredibly useful and easy to use database. Use the minimal installation, and you then just need to put the CD in your drive whenever you wish to use it. Do the full installation, and its stored on your hard drive, and doesn't require the CD for further use.
The records the entries have been taken from range from census, census indexes, BDM records, MIs, and crew lists. Please note: no further information on this CD is supplied - you then need to consult the product that this index says the relevant name is in for more information. This CD doesn't claim to have full coverage of all records, all of England - but it is a large amount of data which can be used to help narrow down your search.
