In 1977 the Heraldry and Genealogy Society of Canberra published 'Monumental Inscriptions Australian Capital Territory and Jervis Bay'. This was a listing of tombstone and other monumental transcriptions that the Society had recorded. They state that the transcriptions are arranged with the cemeteries in alphabetical order, together with maps accompanying them.
The above is all still applicable for the second edition, but also included a number of sites not included in the first edition, where there is clear evidence such as a memorial plaque or marker. Also included for some of the smaller burial grounds are lists of 'known' burials, as well as being brought up-to-date.
Please note the transcripts are not a word-for-word transcript. General wording such as "in memory of" or "rest in peace" has been omitted. All names, dates and other relevant genealogical information has been included.
