Now available to purchase - your very own set of the Kent 1851 Census, which comes as a set of 10 CDs. They contain images of the census books digitised from the microfilm. Where missing pages or poor images have been detected additional images taken from the books have been added.
Please note: Censuses are organised by Registration Districts, which DO NOT necessarily correspond with county boundaries. A set of census records for a Registration District may omit some places within a county, and/or include places from adjacent counties.
Features of the CD set are: the ability to magnify an area to see further detail, print the current page, alphabetic street index for larger towns, and searchable area indexes. A full list of areas covered by the county of Kent are in the PRO Class List.
