This CD contains details for approximately 171,200 immigrants! Search this fully indexed data collection, referencing arrivals in various United States ports between 1870 and 1872. The information was compiled from the original ship manifest schedules filed by all vessels entering United States ports in accordance with an Act of Congress in March 1891.

You can learn a great deal of information about your Irish or British ancestor by researching with this resource. All of the records include the port from which they embarked on their journey, the arrival date, final destination and manifest ID number. Irish and British Immigrant to America Vol. 2 was produced in collaboration with the Balche Institute Centre for Immigration Research and the John F. Kennedy Trust.
