Part 1 lists the 'Ship's Descriptions', which gives you further information on each vessel, such as tonnage, what it was made of, where and when it was made, the vessels dimensions etc.
Part 2 gives the voyage details. Set out in a landscape column format, the titles of the columns are as follows: Number, Vessel, Tonnage, Date, Departure Port, Date, Arrival, Landed, Captain/Master, Comments, Agent. Dates of departure start from June 1861 and continue through till around the end of 1899.
The third part is the Passenger Index. The passenger names have been arranged alphabetically under surnames, then first name. The next column records the age of the person and the last column refers to the voyage number.
