Further titled 'An Official publication for the information of commercial men, tourists and immigrants' this book was published by the Western Australian Government in 1912. The aim in it's publication was to present a accurate and impartial account of Western Australia's past and present. The book is a general, and wide ranging account of the states history, natural features, resources and development, and includes chapters on Western Australia's 'awakening' and growth, land, industries (including: wheat, dairy, fruit growing as well as winemaking and pearling) climate, infrastructure, wild flowers and the people. It also includes specific chapters: 'For the Immigrant' and 'Tourist resorts'.
This CD includes the original colour map, colour plate of WA wildflowers, many photographs and clearly divided easy to read sections which make this book is a wonderfully useful and interesting overview of life in Western Australia in the early 20th Century.
Now fully SEARCHABLE the information in this book is readily accessible to anyone interested in life in early Western Australia.
