As Censuses are organised by Registration Districts, which do not necessarily correspond with county boundaries, a set of census records for a Registration District may omit some places within a county, and/or include places from adjacent counties.
This CD contains the records relating to Hampshire that appear in the Surrey Registration Districts, and therefore are not listed in the Hampshire 1871 Census, they are however listed in the Surrey 1871 Census (item GBC1871SUR).
