The 2002 GRD marks the 22nd year of publication during which period the GRD has become the largest worldwide surname queries listing published in book form on an annual basis. For several years, each edition has contained between 130,00 and 150,000 references submitted by the contributors. The directory has become one of the most important and useful genealogical tools ever published. Previous years are also still available, and also on CD-ROM.
