The Swan River Pioneers 1829-1838 Special Interest Group in conjunction with the Western Australian Genealogical Society, as part of Western Australia's 175th Anniversary have produced this CD-ROM.
This CD gives a brief biographical description of persons arriving into, or born in, the Swan River Colony up to 31 December 1838. The index contains the following type of information: person's name, ship, port of departure, arrival date, arrival place, occupation, date of birth, place of birth, children arriving with parents, children born in the colony, family history of either the arrival family or single person.
Some of this information has been submitted by members of the group, and others have been gained by research. Each of the 1544 entries (975 families) includes other names where known, such as spouse, children, and a brief biography of each person.
While this information is listed under family name, the index is searchable by subject. Some information on arrivals into Albany in 1826 is also included.
