The author's third book on the town, this is her ‘magnum opus' in which she brings together all her years of research, from the Normans who built the ancient parish church through the itinerant medieval potters, the wealthy stagecoach travellers and an exiled Empress of France to Colonel Cody and the flying machine. Farnborough has a past worth telling and the author tells it well.
