The upgrade applies if you have a copy of any previous version of Family
Tree Maker (US, UK or Aus editions - right back to version 1). For this special
pricing we will require evidence of purchase - copy of receipt, a copy (or scan)
of original program disk, or other evidence. If purchased from Gould Genealogy
we should have a record of the purchase, but it is helpful if you indicate an

There is a problem with going from older versions to the 2011 version of Family
Tree Maker. What you can do is download the 2005 version of Family Tree Maker
and this will act as a go between allowing you to import from your earlier
version and then export to a format that 2011 will accept. Details of where to
download the 2005 version will be posted out with the Upgrade.
