This CD will be most interesting to family historians, since it doesn't look at Worthies and Notables but ordinary folk, and it is filled with illustration which really bring these characters alive! Contains tales of wife-selling, of incomprehensible travellers from the east, sisters who dressed as identical dolls, and many other fascinating characters. It even explains this rather strange entry in the parish register:
"1756 Robert Elford was baptised, the child of Susanna Elford by her sisters husband. She was married with the consent of her sister, the wife who was at the wedding."
