As Censuses are organised by Registration Districts, which do not necessarily correspond with county boundaries, a set of census records for a Registration District may omit some places within a county, and/or include places from adjacent counties.
This CD contains the records relating to Derbyshire that are listed in the Staffordshire 1861 Census (item GBC1861STF). But for those that don't want to buy Staffordshire set but are interested in Derbyshire, this is for you - but note that these entries DON'T appear in the Derbyshire Census set.
Whole census pieces are included, and therefore the places included are those on both side of the county boundary, and includes places such as: Ash, Barton Blount, Bearwardcote, Boylestone, Bretby, Burnaston, Castle Gresley, Cauldwell, Chilcote, Church Broughton, Church Gresley, Coton in the Elms, Cotton, Croxall, Cubley, Dalbury Lees, Doveridge, Drakelow, Egginton, Etwall, Findern, Foremark, Foston, Hatton, Hoon, Ingleby, Linton, Lullington, Marston Montgomery, Marston on Dove, Mickleover, Newhall, Newton Solney, Oslaston and Thurvaston, Radborne, Repton, Rosliston, Scropton, Somershall Herbet, Stanton, Stapenhill, Sudbury, Sutton on the Hill, Swadlincote, Trusley, Twyford and Stenson, Walton, Willington, Winshill, and adjacent places in Staffordshire and Warwickshire.
